ISG approaches recruiting through multiple strategies balancing hiring between international and local talent. The annual cycle of educator recruiting usually begins early Fall with international recruitment, where we seek out dedicated and experienced teachers from around the world who are passionate about engaging and contributing to a top-tier and unique learning environment. We engage in rigorous selection procedures for the recruiting of all positions, benchmarking ISG locally across the education sector as well as regionally using regional international school benchmarking as a guide to ensure competitive global standards.

The opportunities we offer are in sports, the arts, technology and community service. ASAs are designed to cater to a variety of student interests, ensuring that each child finds something that sparks their curiosity and passion. Furthermore, new activities are offered every eight weeks, giving students the opportunity to try different activities throughout the school year.

One of the unique benefits of ISG’s ASA program is the opportunity for students to participate in multiple activities. This approach encourages students to diversify their experiences, try new things and fully engage with the learning environment outside of their regular academic schedule.

This flexibility enables students to develop well-rounded skills such as teamwork, leadership and creative thinking while fostering their social connections with students across different grades and interests.

Our ASA program is popular, with a good level of participation across all ISG schools. This year we have almost 1296 students participating in athletic activities across the district.

These participation numbers represent engagement in our after-school activity experiences that have a positive impact on the overall educational experience students have at ISG.

Schools across the NESA region face complex challenges—including ongoing conflict, rapid change and rising wellbeing concerns—requiring us to balance uncertainty with hope and strength. This online learning series invites educators, parents, counselors, staff and leaders to explore staying grounded, connected and purposeful in difficult times.

Referencing learning sciences, developmental psychology and resilience studies, "The Pedagogy of Hope" delivers practical, research-backed strategies for immediate use in homes, classrooms and communities. Further details can be found here on the NESA website.
