STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM AUDIT WITH SAGE CONSULTING

This year, ISG will be working with SAGE Consulting to conduct an audit, evaluation and provide recommendations regarding our student information systems.

As part of this work, Head of Educational Technology, Mr. Hayden Williams, will coordinate and facilitate the gathering of information, input and ideas from ISG team members who work closely with areas related to student information, including systems such as OpenApply and Skyward.

ISG is currently providing information to SAGE ahead of their visit, and the SAGE team will develop a schedule for their time at ISG.

THANK YOU FOR JOINING OUR PARENT ENGAGEMENT WORKSHOP

Thank you to the 230 parents who attended our Parent Engagement Program (PEP) workshop on Wednesday evening. We hope the session helped strengthen our parent partnership and provided a greater understanding of assessment at ISG and the advanced academic programs available to our students.

For those who attended and would like to revisit the session, as well as those who were unable to join us, a video recording is being finalized and will be shared next week in our Thursday updates.

ISG COMMUNITY

WHY DOES ISG HAVE MINIMUM DAYS

Minimum days are scheduled throughout the school year to provide dedicated time for our teachers and staff to engage in professional learning, collaboration and planning. This focused time supports our commitment to continuous improvement and helps ensure that our educators have the opportunity to reflect on student learning, collaborate with colleagues, develop their practice and plan effectively.

By investing in the professional growth of our staff, we strengthen the learning experience we provide to every ISG student. There is a rotation in terms of days that this professional learning time occurs on to ensure that we are not consistently reducing learning time with students in the same courses or classes. We appreciate our families' understanding and support of these important days.

PARTNERING THROUGH OUR PARENT TEACHER GROUPS

Our Parent Teacher Groups (PTGs) play an important role in strengthening the partnership between families and our schools. Meeting each month, PTGs provide a regular opportunity for parents and school and campus leaders to connect, share ideas, discuss school initiatives and work together to enhance the school experience for our students.

PTGs also provide valuable support for school events and activities throughout the year, helping to build a strong sense of community and bringing families together. Through these partnerships, parents have an opportunity to contribute their time, ideas and talents while supporting activities that enrich the lives of our students and our community.

We encourage parents to attend their school's monthly PTG meetings and get involved. Your participation helps strengthen the connection between home and school and plays an important role in building the vibrant and supportive community that makes ISG special.
