Advanced Placement (AP)

This is a flexible, modular program administered by the College Board (USA) that allows students to select individual college-level courses. It is offered at ISG Dammam and ASD.  96% of Grade 11 and 12 students participate in AP.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)

This is a prescribed, holistic two-year program for Grades 11 and 12 that emphasizes critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and independent research. It is offered at ISG Jubail and ASD.

A Levels

This program provides deep subject specialization through a two-year structure typically starting in Year 11. It is offered exclusively at BSD.

The student participation rates for the above advanced programs is noted below:

• • ASD: 96% of students in Grades 11-12 are enrolled in either the AP or IB program.

  • BSD: 100% of students in Years 12 and 13 (Grades 11-12 equivalent) enrolled in the A Level program.

  • ISG Jubail: 100% of students in Grades 11 and 12 enrolled in the IB Diploma Programme.

  • ISG Dammam: 70% of students in Grades 11 and 12 are enrolled in at least one AP course.

Through their work, the Task Force discovered the following and we look forward to sharing more on how these areas may be developed in next school year:

• • All ISG advanced programs are highly utilized, highly valued and highly beneficial for our diverse student population.

  • ISG will continue to focus on efficiency, consistency and quality in these programs.

  • ISG will enhance awareness and understanding of the breadth and value of the advanced program offerings for both current families and potential families.
