PARENT ANNOUNCEMENT (27)

MARCH 12, 2026

SUPERINTENDENT’S UPDATE

Dear Parents,

We commit to:

    • Navigating this uncertainty together

    • Being transparent with one another

    • Balancing compassion and care within our circumstances

    • Making decisions that embrace wellbeing for all

    • Creating a plan to support one another and to support student learning

    • Seeking timely answers for what we do not know

    • Being creative in our thinking

    • Being flexible in our response

    • Modeling resilience

    • Presuming positive intent

    • Maintaining perspective

    • Providing grace knowing our challenges

It is disheartening the impact this situation is having on our community, the region and the world. I was reminded this morning during a conversation that there are so many in the region dealing with this situation that shouldn't have to. Our students have been through the disruption of Covid and are now going through this regional conflict. Adults and students alike have been impacted and I want nothing more than for us to return to the normalcy and consistency we had before.

KEEPING ISG INFORMED

ISG has created this digital form for keeping the school informed about your updated plans in regards to returning to Saudi Arabia for learning on March 29, 2026.  We appreciate your ongoing partnership in learning and thank you in advance for staying in touch over the break.

UPDATE ON A LEVEL, AP & IB EXAMINATIONS

ISG has reached out to the agencies who support the external exams for A levels, IGCSE, AP and IB for preliminary conversations so we can be prepared if disruptions in this region do not normalize in time for these exams.  There is no specific information at this time that this will occur and our current engagement with these organizations is focused on transparent communication, mutual awareness and understanding for potential proactive planning and response in the future.

ISG FEATURED IN ALRIYADH NEWSPAPER

We are proud to share that ISG students have been featured in the local Saudi media, Alriyadh newspaper.

The article highlights the role 130 students played in last month’s beach cleanup where they collected 135 kilograms of waste from Halfmoon Beach.

This initiative was made possible through ISG’s college and career programs, our partnership with KBR and the Ministry of Environment, Water & Agriculture.

As part of the celebration, students selected special stationery from the treasure box, a small but meaningful way to acknowledge their hard work.

SVS also applauded Lucas, who successfully completed all the challenges required to earn his Junior Duke Award, receiving both his certificate and badge. Achievements like these reflect the curiosity and character we are proud to nurture in our students.
