IMPORTANT REMINDER FROM THE SAUDI MINISTRY OF INTERIOR

We would like to share an important reminder issued by the Ministry of Interior (MOI) regarding current regional developments. The Ministry has confirmed that all matters are being handled according to precise security plans and procedures, under the supervision of the relevant authorities, to ensure safety, stability and the wellbeing of everyone.

The Ministry has also directed that individuals refrain from photographing or broadcasting footage related to missile interceptions or security operations, in order to prevent unnecessary concern and the circulation of inaccurate information. Social media platforms are being monitored accordingly.

As a community, we encourage all families and staff to rely on official sources for information and to exercise responsibility and discretion when using social media. Our priority remains the safety and reassurance of our students, employees and families, and we are grateful for your cooperation and understanding.

KEEPING ISG INFORMED

Next week, ISG will be sharing a digital form with parents for keeping the school informed about your updated plans in regards to returning to Saudi Arabia for learning on March 29, 2026.  We appreciate your ongoing partnership in learning and thank you in advance for staying in touch over the break.

RESOURCES FOR SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY

We recognize the challenges that this week and next can create for routine and normalcy alongside the military situation in the region.  We are sharing several resources for our community.

    1. This document shares links to direct resources staff and parents can use to support students.

    2. In addition, this document, has been provided by our regional education learning partner NESA, that includes information on how staff and families can support young people in a time of crisis.

CLARIFICATION ON COMMUNICATIONS SHARED WITH PARENTS THIS WEEK

For your easy reference, we have created an archive of the communication we have sent to the ISG parent community this week:

  • ISG Parent Community Update - Feb. 28

  • ISG Parent Community Update - Virtual School (March 1, 2026) - Feb. 28

  • ISG Parent Community Update - Virtual School (March 2, 2026) - Mar. 1

  • ISG Parent Community Update - Virtual School - Mar. 2

  • ISG Parent Update - Virtual School Cancellation - Mar. 3

  • ISG Parent Message - Regional Developments & Planning Update - Mar. 3

A few clarifications from previous communications.  Please note that learning will be virtual synchronous (on-line live with teacher) for all students unless there are circumstances due to travel that require an individual teacher to move to synchronous for a short period of time.  Teachers will communicate with parents if this happens.

Also, the SAT exams that were going to be hosted by ISG on Saturday have been cancelled.  In relation to these schedule changes, there have been questions from several parents about whether their child can transfer to another SAT site for this Saturday.  The College Board will contact registered students directly with information regarding next steps. Students will have the option to request a full refund or transfer their registration to a future SAT test date.  ISG is consulting with the College Board on a possible alternative replacement date for our site, but this has not been confirmed.

Lastly, in the interest of being proactive, ISG has reached out to the agencies who support the external exams for A levels, IGCSE, AP and IB for preliminary conversations so we can be prepared if disruptions in this region do not normalize in time for these exams.  There is no information at this time that this will occur.
