SUPERINTENDENT’S UPDATE

SURVEY: TRAFFIC CONCERNS AT THE DHAHRAN CAMPUS

We are aware of the ongoing traffic challenges affecting travel to and from our ISG campuses and recognize the daily delays and safety concerns this situation creates for our school community.

While ISG does not have direct authority over traffic management or the ability to assign traffic officers, we agree that this issue cannot be ignored. Our leadership team has consistently raised these concerns with local authorities through formal messages, site visits and the sharing of photos and documentation related to congestion and incidents. To date, these efforts have not resulted in a sustainable or long-term solution.

As a next step, we would like to gather structured feedback from our community through this survey.

This information will allow us to clearly document the impact of the traffic situation and present detailed, community-based evidence to the relevant authorities with a renewed request to work together in finding a permanent solution.  Our goal is to emphasize both the wellbeing concerns for our students, families and staff as well as the operational impact of daily delays and the broader safety .

We remain committed to working collaboratively with our community and local partners in pursuit of a safe, lasting solution and appreciate your continued engagement and support.

HOW TO SHARE TRAFFIC CONCERNS WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES

Community members can submit traffic-related concerns through the Kollona Amn application.

The app allows users to raise reports under several categories such as:

    • Traffic concerns

    • Traffic patrols

    • Road security

    • General security reports

You can submit a report directly through the app and attach photos when available to support the complaint.

RE-ENROLLMENT FOR 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR HAS BEGUN

Re-enrollment for the upcoming school year began on February 8 and will close on March 8. ISG families should have received a personalized re-enrollment link through OpenApply to begin the process.

Thank you for the trust you place in ISG for the education of your child(ren) and for being an integral partner in our learning community. Should you have any questions or need assistance, our enrollment team is happy to support you at enrollment@isg.edu.sa. We look forward to continuing this journey together.

LEARNING AT ISG

CLASS SPOTLIGHT ON GRADE 12 & YEAR 13 AT ISG

This week our spotlight is on Grade 12 and Year 13 at ISG. We asked our students the question: What is something you’re going to miss at your school?

Each week, we’re shining a spotlight on learning across ISG by featuring a different grade level from our schools.

Our goal is to celebrate our students’ curiosity and hard work while giving parents a closer look at the value of an ISG education, where every lesson, discussion and experience is designed to inspire growth, confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

RECAP OF BSD’S WEEK WITHOUT WALLS

BSD’s Week of Wonder (WoW) brought learning to life through a range of engaging, hands-on experiences that encouraged curiosity, creativity and real-world connection. Throughout the week, students stepped beyond the traditional classroom to participate in activities designed to deepen understanding, spark inquiry  and apply learning in meaningful ways.

We invite our community to explore the highlights from WoW Week through the photos above and the following articles:

    • Innovation, Creativity and Impact: Our Week Without Walls Off-Curriculum at BSD

    • BSD’s WoW Week in Riyadh Presents an Unforgettable Educational  Journey

    • BSD Students Return from Cameron Highlands, Malaysia Completing Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Expedition

GROWING READERS AND EXPANDING STUDENT LEARNING WITH DIGITAL RESOURCES IN OUR LIBRARIES

We encourage families to explore the ISG Parent Hub, which provides 24/7 access to our digital resources in our campus libraries, including Sora, EBSCO research tools, and New York Times subscriptions. These resources are designed to support reading, research and real-world learning at every stage.

This year, we are especially encouraged to see a significant increase in student engagement with Sora, our digital reading platform, with usage up more than 200% compared to last year. This growth reflects students reading more frequently and having access to high-quality texts anytime, extending learning well beyond the school day.

Across our ISG campuses, our libraries are vibrant centers of learning, curiosity, and connection. Through quiet reading, collaborative research, and inquiry-based projects, these spaces support student growth while helping students develop strong research skills, information literacy, and a deeper understanding of the world. Through both print and digital resources, students bring the ISG Graduate Profile to life as critical thinkers, informed researchers, and compassionate global citizens.

POSTPONED:  PARENT ENGAGEMENT EVENT: CELEBRATION OF LEARNING

The next PEP event scheduled in April has been postponed to next school year.  At this time, hosting this event at this time of year has created conflicts and time challenges during exams for students and teachers who were going to participate.  Thank you to all parents who have participated in this year’s PEP events.  We look forward to reviewing your feedback on what we can do to improve next year’s opportunities and what topics you have suggested.  We are grateful for your partnership in learning.

REMINDER: KEEP YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION UPDATED

In order to ensure families have valuable and timely information, please ensure that your personal contact information, including phone numbers, email addresses and emergency contacts, is up to date with ISG. Having accurate information allows us to communicate with you effectively and reach out to you timely for your children in the event of an emergency.

With the change to using personal email addresses as of August 1, you may need to provide contact updates to ISG.  If so, please make any updates by reaching out to the campus office for your child at your earliest convenience.
