PARENT ANNOUNCEMENT (22)

SUPERINTENDENT’S UPDATE

NATIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELING WEEK

This week, we proudly recognize National School Counseling Week and the extraordinary counselors who serve our students across ISG.

Our school counselors create safe, welcoming spaces where students are seen, heard and valued. They are trusted listeners, steady guides and strong advocates who always put students first. Whether supporting academic growth, social-emotional wellbeing or personal challenges, counselors work tirelessly to ensure every student feels supported and empowered.

Counselors are often the voice for students, helping them navigate challenges while advocating for their best interests. They build meaningful relationships by taking the time to truly know each student, understanding their strengths, needs and aspirations. In partnership with parents, teachers and school leadership, they help create a network of care that allows students to thrive.

At the heart of their work is a deep commitment to student wellbeing. Our counselors lead with compassion, professionalism and purpose, and their impact is felt every day.

On behalf of ISG, thank you to our counselors for your dedication and your unwavering belief in our students. Your work matters, and we are grateful for you, today and always.

RE-ENROLLMENT FOR 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR OPENS FEBRUARY 8

Re-enrollment for the upcoming school year will open on February 8 and close on March 8. On February 8, families will receive a personalized re-enrollment link through OpenApply to begin the process.

Thank you for the trust you place in ISG and for being an important part of our learning community. Should you have any questions or need assistance, our enrollment team is happy to support you at enrollment@isg.edu.sa. We look forward to continuing this journey together.

UPCOMING PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES

Parent–Teacher Conferences are an important opportunity to strengthen the partnership between home and school. Each of our schools has shared details directly with families, including schedules and sign-up information, and we encourage you to take part.

These conversations matter. When families and teachers come together to share insights, celebrate progress and discuss next steps, students benefit most. Strong relationships between home and school create the foundation for academic growth, wellbeing and confidence, and help ensure that every child feels known and supported.

Thank you for your continued engagement and for the role you play in your child’s learning journey. We value this partnership and look forward to meaningful conversations in the days ahead.

CLARIFICATION ON ADVERSE WEATHER MESSAGES

The safety of our students, staff and families is always our highest priority. When the National Centre for Meteorology issues a red weather warning for our region, whether related to heavy rain, dust, fog, wind or other adverse conditions, we take proactive steps to keep our community informed.

These alerts guide our decision-making and allow us to communicate clearly and promptly. Campus principals share updates with parents by email. In situations requiring immediate attention, we also issue a centrally managed emergency SMS to parents to ensure messages are received quickly and consistently.

Our goal is to provide timely, accurate information so families and employees can make safe decisions and feel confident that ISG is monitoring conditions closely. We appreciate the cooperation and trust of our community as we work together to prioritize safety during changing weather conditions.

LEARNING AT ISG

CLASS SPOTLIGHT ON GRADE 9 & YEAR 10 AT ISG

This week our spotlight is on Grade 9 and Year 10 at ISG. Please see this presentation for an exciting glimpse into our Science classrooms on each campus.

Each week, we’re shining a spotlight on learning across ISG by featuring a different grade level from our schools. Through these weekly highlights, we’ll take you inside our classrooms to show how learning comes to life,  from hands-on projects and critical thinking to collaboration and creativity.

Our goal is to celebrate our students’ curiosity and hard work while giving parents a closer look at the value of an ISG education, where every lesson, discussion and experience is designed to inspire growth, confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

ISG COMMUNITY

UPCOMING ALUMNI REUNION EVENTS

We’re excited to invite our ISG community to two alumni reunion events.

    • Friday, March 6, Dhahran Campus

    • Thursday, May 21, London (registration link coming soon)

These special gatherings welcome graduates, former staff and anyone who has studied or worked at ISG to reconnect and celebrate the shared experiences that have shaped our community.

Please share the registration links above with former staff and students. More details will be shared in the coming weeks.

UPCOMING PARENT ENGAGEMENT EVENT: CELEBRATION OF LEARNING

The next PEP event will be a celebration of learning that will take place at two locations:

Please mark your calendars and we look forward to welcoming you to these events in April.

RAMADAN HOURS AT ISG

ISG will transition to Ramadan working hours beginning February 17, in alignment with the Kingdom-wide practice of adjusting hours to observe the holy month of Ramadan. School and workday hours will be as follows:

    • Staff: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    • Students: 9:30 a.m. -2:30 p.m.

This change reflects national guidance and supports the wellbeing of our community during this important time.

REMINDER: KEEP YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION UPDATED

In order to ensure families have valuable and timely information, please ensure that your personal contact information, including phone numbers, email addresses and emergency contacts, is up to date with ISG. Having accurate information allows us to communicate with you effectively and reach out to you timely for your children in the event of an emergency.

With the change to using personal email addresses as of August 1, you may need to provide contact updates to ISG.  If so, please make any updates by reaching out to the campus office for your child at your earliest convenience.

If you think you have missed any of these weekly communications this school year due to changing contact information, please click here for the archive of these communications.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
