PARENT ANNOUNCEMENT (18)

JANUARY 8, 2026

SUPERINTENDENT’S UPDATE

WELCOME BACK & HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Dear Parents,

I hope everyone enjoyed a restful winter break and is feeling refreshed as we begin this new semester together. As we return to our campuses, I’m excited for the learning, growth and opportunities that lie ahead for our students and staff.

While I am currently representing ISG at a recruitment fair in Bangkok, I look forward to being back on campus the morning of January 13 and to reconnecting with our community in person. Thank you, as always, for the energy, care and commitment you bring to our schools each day.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy and successful year ahead.

2026-27 ADMISSIONS & TRANSFERS

Admissions to all grades and year levels at ISG will open on January 16. Please note that the deadline for receiving applications will be February 12.

The deadline for KG1-Grade 2/FS2-Year 3 ISG transfers is February 12.

Please visit the ISG Admissions page for more information or contact the team at admissions@isg.edu.sa.

OFFICIAL MSA ACCREDITATION REPORT

In May of 2025, we shared that ISG successfully completed its system-wide accreditation visit with the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

During the visit, the visiting team highlighted the strength of our shared mission, the care and support provided to students, the quality of teaching and learning across our schools, and the positive, inclusive culture experienced by students, staff and families. They also recognized the strong leadership and collaboration that help ISG continue to grow and improve.

Before the winter break, ISG received the official MSA accreditation report and confirmation of our continued accreditation. The Visiting Team concluded that ISG meets all five Standards for Accreditation, with no stipulations and no monitoring issues, resulting in the continuation of full accreditation status with no follow-up actions. This outcome affirms the strength of ISG’s governance, leadership, systems and culture of continuous improvement.

This accreditation reaffirms our commitment to providing a safe, engaging, and high-quality learning experience for every student, and we are grateful to our staff, students and families for the role each of you plays in making ISG a place where learning and belonging thrive.

ISG COMMUNITY

RAMADAN HOURS AT ISG

ISG will transition to Ramadan working hours beginning February 17, in alignment with the Kingdom-wide schedule adjustment observed during the holy month of Ramadan. School and workday hours will be as follows:

    • Staff:  9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    • Students:  9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

This change reflects national guidance and supports the wellbeing of our community during this important time. Further details, including confirmed dates and adjusted schedules for schools will be shared closer to the start of Ramadan.

JANUARY SWIMMING CLASSES WITH AP RACE SWIMMING ACADEMY

We’re pleased to share that swimming classes with AP Race Swimming Academy will continue throughout the month of January at the Dhahran campus.

The swimming pool is temperature controlled and allows students to comfortably continue their progress and develop their confidence in the water.

Please see this flyer for more information and a special offer for ISG families.

REMINDER: PEP SESSION

RAISING RESILIENT FAMILIES

Our next parent engagement series session is titled Empowering Parents: A Workshop on Resilient Parenting.

The journey of parenting is filled with joys, challenges and unexpected turns. In today's rapidly changing world, equipping our children with the tools to navigate adversity and bounce back from setbacks is more crucial than ever.

ISG is pleased to offer an engaging workshop designed to empower parents with the skills and insights to foster resilience in their children and themselves.

Dates:

    • Session 1: Dhahran Campus, January 19

    • Session 2: ISG Jubail Campus, January 26

Please use this form to register.

We look forward to welcoming you to one of the events above.

Note:  You do not need to attend both sessions. The same presentation will be delivered on January 19 and on January 16.

REMINDER: KEEP YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION UPDATED

In order to ensure families have valuable and timely information, please ensure that your personal contact information, including phone numbers, email addresses and emergency contacts, is up to date with ISG. Having accurate information allows us to communicate with you effectively and reach out to you timely for your children in the event of an emergency.

With the change to using personal email addresses as of August 1, you may need to provide contact updates to ISG.  If so, please make any updates by reaching out to the campus office for your child at your earliest convenience.

If you think you have missed any of these weekly communications this school year due to changing contact information, please click here for the archive of these communications.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.

SARA VILLAGE SCHOOL GARDEN IN FULL BLOOM

The Sara Village School Garden is growing strong in the cool weather and after the rain we had last month. There is a wide range of fruits, vegetables and flowers in the garden including corn, carrots, potatoes, cabbage, pumpkins, limes and sunflowers.

The garden is part of SVS's commitment as a school to being a more sustainable community and is a key aspect of their Eco Schools initiative. Students have developed an understanding of how plants grow and how food gets onto their plates. They visit the garden during lessons to bring various topics to life.

When ready to harvest, the students will pick the fruits and vegetables in their gardening club and will get to cook them in school.

SVS gained the internationally recognised Green Flag Award from Eco Schools in November 2025 and is currently the only school in Saudi Arabia to hold it.
