PARENT ANNOUNCEMENT (09)

OCTOBER 16, 2025

SUPERINTENDENT’S UPDATE

Dear Parents,

As we head into the fall break, I want to extend my warmest wishes to all of our ISG families. This time of year provides a wonderful opportunity to pause and enjoy time together after a busy and productive start to the school year.

Whether you are traveling or enjoying some quiet days at home, I hope this break brings rest and connection to your family.

We look forward to welcoming our students back, refreshed and ready to continue their learning journey after the October break.

ISG LEADERSHIP ATTENDS NESA FALL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

This week, myself and several members of the ISG leadership team are attending the multi-day Near East South Asia (NESA) Fall Leadership Conference in Istanbul, an annual event attended by peer international schools from across the NESA region.

This enriching and transformative experience directly supports the ISG core strategic priority of Professional Excellence. The conference focuses on the overarching theme of "The Story of Learning”, guiding us through a shift in educational excellence toward belonging, agency and relevance.

Beyond the opportunity to connect and engage in learning with educators leading international schools much like ISG, the core aims of the event include strengthening leadership practices, fostering innovative educational models and cultivating school-wide cultures of growth and wellbeing.

I plan to attend sessions focused on mission-driven leadership, tech ready schools, innovation and deeper learning by design, superintendent/head of school job-alikes, designing a relevant and current transcript, supporting wellbeing and belonging, building trust through improved communication, student-centered schools and culture building.

Leadership attending looks forward to sharing our learning with other leadership and the staff community through insights and actionable strategies gained that will benefit ISG.

MICHELLE ALZAMORA’S VISIT TO ISG

This week, ISG was pleased to welcome Michelle Alzamora, who will officially begin her role as Assistant Superintendent in August 2026.

During her visit, Michelle had the opportunity to connect with school and central office leaders, gaining valuable insight into ISG’s culture, strategic priorities and community. Her visit marks an important step in ensuring a smooth transition and continued alignment with ISG’s mission and vision. Michelle also participated in the on-campus interview process for the next BSD Principal since she will be working closely with this person when they both transition to ISG next school year.

We look forward to welcoming Michelle to the ISG family and to the experience and perspective she will bring to our district.

ISG’S PARTICIPATION WADAEF JOB FAIR

We are proud to announce that ISG will participate in the Wadaef Job Fair, organized by the Asharqia Chamber on October 26–27, 2025.

ISG’s participation reflects our ongoing commitment to our strategic priority of Professional Excellence, attracting, developing and retaining exceptional educators and staff who share our passion for learning, growth and innovation. By engaging in this national platform, we aim to connect with talented educators and professionals who will contribute to ISG’s mission of delivering high quality learning and supporting wellbeing and belonging within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Now in its 11th year, the Wadaef Job Fair is one of the Kingdom’s leading events connecting top employers with talented professionals. This initiative directly supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly its focus on developing a highly-skilled national workforce and fostering meaningful career opportunities across sectors.

We look forward to meeting prospective team members who are ready to make an impact and help shape the future of education at ISG.

LEARNING AT ISG

EDUCATING FOR KINDNESS & BELONGING

At ISG, we believe that kindness, respect and inclusion are the cornerstones of a thriving school community. This October, ASD, ISG Dammam and ISG Jubail joined schools around the United States in celebrating Unity Day, a national event that promotes kindness and stands against bullying.

Throughout the month, counselors held assemblies and class talks with students to reinforce the importance of empathy, care and respect. Homerooms also decorated their doors and students created posters expressing what unity means to them.

By wearing orange and engaging in activities that highlight acceptance and inclusion, students and staff demonstrated what it means to create a community where everyone feels valued.

These values are deeply rooted in our ISG mission and the strategic priority of Wellbeing and Belonging, and the efforts remind us that our responsibility as educators goes beyond academics; it includes nurturing character and cultivating safe, supportive environments where all students can learn and grow together and have a strong sense of belonging.

I am incredibly proud of how our students and staff continue to champion kindness across ISG. Through intentional learning experiences like Unity Day, we are preparing students to be compassionate, responsible individuals who contribute positively to their communities.

ISG COMMUNITY

REMINDER: JOIN THE ISG ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

I warmly invite all ISG alumni to register and join the ISG Alumni Association platform. This new space will allow our alumni from across the years to connect, engage and continue to be part of the ISG community.

We look forward to creating connections and building a strong network that will offer opportunities for engagement and mentorship with alumni across the years.

Please share this link with your children if they have graduated from any of our ISG schools or were enrolled for a period of time, even if they did not graduate from ISG.

If you have any questions, please contact isgalumni@isg.edu.sa.

REMINDER: KEEP YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION UPDATED

In order to ensure families have valuable and timely information, please ensure that your personal contact information, including phone numbers, email addresses and emergency contacts, is up to date with ISG. Having accurate information allows us to communicate with you effectively and reach out to you timely for your  children in the event of an emergency.

With the change to using personal email addresses as of August 1, you may need to provide contact updates to ISG.  If so, please make any updates by reaching out to the campus office for your child at your earliest convenience.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
