Dr. Carmen Au

Dr. Au obtained her Doctor of Education from the University of Bristol, UK in 2022. Her dissertation is about the identity and status of music instrumental teachers in Hong Kong. Before that, she obtained her MA in Music from the Chinese University of Hong Kong after her undergraduate study at the Academy for Performing Arts, School of Music, majoring in percussion performance. She also studied Chinese percussion as the minor study.  Dr. Au was awarded the Exhibition Award from the Trinity Music Examination Board, Uk for her achievement of obtaining the highest marks in the grade exam among all candidates around the world when she was still at a young age.

Dr. Au has been working as a professional percussion instructor in both international and local schools for over 20 years. She is also an active freelance percussionist in various orchestras in HK and has worked with Asian Youth Orchestra, HK Philharmonic Orchestra, HK Sinfornietta, HK Pan Asia Orchestra and more through these years. She has also travelled to different countries for performances including Australia, China, Japan and Korea.

區嘉敏博士

區嘉敏於2022年畢業於英國布里斯托大學，獲教育博士學位，論文研究是關於香港的器樂教育；2009年畢業於香港中文大學音樂系，獲頒音樂文學碩士；早年畢業於香港演藝學院音樂學院，跟隨龍向榮博士主修西洋敲擊樂和閻學敏先生副修中國敲擊樂。區氏就讀演藝學院期間，獲得英國聖三一音樂學院考試委員會頒發Exhibition Award 表揚她在該年度的考試獲取全球最佳成績。

區氏任教於英華小學、香港音樂事務處、香港哈羅國際學校，弘立書院、伊利沙伯中學，瑪利諾修院學校(中學部)等。 除教學外，區氏也參與不同樂團的演出，曾參與香港管弦樂團、香港小交響樂團和泛亞交響樂團等。
