Early Childhood Screening is a simple, careful check of the developmental and physical states of the child.

The screening clinic is designed for the child's benefit, is free of charge and is mandatory for school entrance.

The screening takes approximately 1 hour and includes...

Mandated Components:

      • Vision

      • Hearing

      • Immunization review

      • Developmental assessment

      • Social and emotional assessment

Additional Components:

      • Height

      • Weight

      • Review of family circumstances

Minnesota state law requires that every child has a developmental screening before Kindergarten entrance.

Early Childhood Screening is a simple check identifying potential health, social & emotional, or developmental delays or concerns.

It provides families with information about district and community programs and resources.

Early intervention allows time for remediation during the critical formative years.

Early Childhood Screening is for all 3 & 4 year old children and their parents free of charge.
