Below you will find the list of all of your possible technology sessions you can take part in to help grow your skills and improve student learning. Some sessions will be asynchronous (self-paced), and some will be blended (some self paced and some all together). Details for all of the sessions are below. All sessions will be either half day or full day of professional development, unless you choose to do the Google Certifications, those are unique.
A few things to note:
You need to fill out the google form here and at the bottom of the page for each PD session you intend to take part in. Directions will be emailed to you.
Stipends will be submitted for payment at the end of each month.
If you did a session that was offered last year, you likely cannot get credit again this year. Please reach out to the Director of Instructional Technology with questions.

This summer, you will have the option to take either a 1/2 day collection of courses you can take on at your own pace, or a few days of self-directed online courses aimed at transforming both the culture and practice in the classroom. Completion of the multi-day courses will result in you receiving a Google Educator or Trainer certification. These are expected to take approximately 15 hours to complete in their entirety, or the equivalent of one college credit. Participants can determine the pace of the course, working on each lesson when and where it works for them.
As always, we are here to support you in anyway we can. Let us know how we can help. Once you've completed the registration form you'll receive an email on June 5th giving you access to your course(s) and directions for completion.
Welcome to Personalized Learning. You'll get to go through 4 high level sessions that could add engagement to your classroom on the following topics:
21st Century Learning
Gamification
Self Paced Classrooms
Personalized Learning
With that in mind, during these sessions you'll have control over:
Your time - You control how many times you need to go through the content
Your place - You control whether you do it at school, your house or on a beach 🏝️
Your pace - You control if you do it all in one sitting or over many different sessions
Your Path - Which mini course will you do first? Your choice!
This will be a half day of PD.
Learn how Edpuzzle, Google Classroom and other Google Tools can work together to create wonderful learning experience for your students. This session will show you ways to:
Create or find videos students can watch where you can get data to use for small group support
Use Google Classroom at a higher level
Learn more about what the Google Suite (Templates, Hyperdocs and EduProtocols) can do in your classroom, make things digital and level up your students thinking skills.
This will be a half day of PD.
Come learn about many different "levels" of adding gamification or aspects of games into your classroom to up the engagement level of your students.
Level 1: Game(show) like platforms (Kahoot, Quizizz, Blooket, etc)
Level 2: Leaderboards, Badges, Points and rewards
Level 3: Adding Games and Game like elements to the Classroom
Level 4: Role Based Game Play, Teams, Side Quests and Experience Points
Expect lots of resources to play with and see which aspects might add to your classroom.
This will be a half day of PD with an optional extension(s) to make it more.
Using multimodal scaffolding in templates to assist your students
Using Choice and Voice to personalize student learning
How to stay organized with Seesaw's tools
How to allow students to get actionable feedback from Seesaw (automatically), from you, and even from each other in a K-3 classroom.
This will be a half day of PD.
The Modern Classrooms Project offers a free, self-paced online course designed to help educators build classrooms that cater to every student's needs. This program equips teachers with research-backed strategies for creating a blended learning environment that incorporates student choice, mastery-based learning, and technology to foster deeper engagement and social-emotional growth and allows for personalizing the learning for each student so you can meet each student where they are at.
This will be one day of PD.

Welcome to Fundamentals training. By reading, watching videos, and doing activities, you’ll learn how to integrate Google in your classroom. For educators who are new to Google tools, this course will teach you the best strategies for integrating Google in your classroom.
You can start and stop lessons at any time; Google will track your progress through the course. At the end of this course, you'll be ready to register for and take the exam to become a Google Certified Educator Level 1!
This will be worth 2 days of PD or Board Credit based on your contract.
Welcome to Advanced training. By reading, watching videos, and doing activities, you’ll learn cutting-edge strategies for integrating Google in your classroom. Moving beyond fundamentals, this advanced course teaches cutting-edge strategies for integrating Google in your classroom.
You can start and stop lessons at any time; we'll track your progress through the course. At the end of this course, you'll be ready to register for and take the exam to become a Google Certified Educator Level 2!
This will be worth 2 days of PD or Board Credit based on your contract.

Improve your skills as a trainer as you learn to create and deliver inspiring training sessions on Google tools.
In order to prepare for this application, you will be taken through the Trainer Course in the link above. We want educators to experience how Google tools can change the way they teach, which is why our Trainer Course covers in-depth information on Google for Education, including our educator Fundamentals and Advanced courses.
This will be worth 2 days of PD or Board Credit based on your contract.
This summer, you will have the option to take a couple sessions that will have components that are done at your own pace and part that we will do together, ideally in person, but can be done over Google Meet if needed. Get ready to see all the pieces you need shown to you in a unique and fun way that will allow you to think outside the box for your own classroom.
Join us to learn about how to leverage Artificial Intelligence to personalize student learning. Through demos, examples, discussions, and work time (that will save you time) you'll discover practical strategies for implementing AI tools in your classroom that will:
Increase engagement
Individualized instruction
Allow students' interests to show up in your class.
Most of this course will be self paced with the last hour being in person on July 30th from 1-2pm for some collaborative discussion and practice.
Learn about some ways to digitize your grading to get feedback back to students faster, decrease your workload and improve student learning. These options will include parts of Google Classroom, some extensions, a little AI and more to make your life easier and improve the amount of improvement your students choose to make on their work.
Most of this course will be self paced with the last hour or so in person on July 23rd from 10am-11am for some hands-on practice of these strategies.
