August 24th - 26th
This blended learning course includes an online portion and instructor-led classroom skills. The online portion must be completed before attending the in-class portion.
This class provides entry-level participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. Requirements to become lifeguard certified are:
- At least 15 years of age
- 300 yard endurance swim using front crawl and/or breaststroke
- Complete a timed skill sequence including a 20 yard swim, retrieval of a 10 pound object from 7 feet deep, swim 20 yards carrying the object and exit the water within 1 minute and 40 seconds.
- Tread water for 2 minutes using legs only
- In order to successfully complete this course, you must attend all sessions, achieve a score of 80% or more on two written tests and complete skill tests for CPR, First Aid, and lifeguarding.

Neptune Swim and Dive Team
New Prague Neptune's mission is to make a positive impact on the lives and personal health of its swimmers by promoting self-respect, good sportsmanship and an overall love for the sport of swimming. We believe through proper stroke technique, each swimmer will reach their own personal potential. We strive to create an environment where each swimmer understands the best motivation comes from within, through commitment and dedication to personal improvement.

Swim Tryouts
Neptune Swim will be offering tryouts for the fall season. If you are interested in the swim team but do not know where to begin, come on one of these nights to meet our coaches, get an assessment of group placement, and ask any questions you may have. No preregistration is needed. Here are the dates and times we will be offering tryouts:
-August 30th from 6-7 pm
-September 4th from 6-7 pm
Trojan Swim and Dive Team
Welcome Back!
High School girls swim team began practice on August 13th. We want to give a warm "welcome back" to the team returning to their home pool at the New Prague Aquatic Center. They will be practicing from approximately 3 pm to 5:30 pm Monday - Friday until November. The competition pool will be closed for their use at this time but the recreation pool, channel, and hot tub will remain open. Come cheer on our team during one of their home meets. Admission for meets is about $6. The dates for these meets are as follows:
-August 28th
-September 13th
-September 20th
-October 11th
-October 27th
The entire Aquatic Center will be closed for these meets

The Aquatic Center offers two levels of memberships. You may choose to purchase a Platinum membership or Basic membership.
Memberships may be purchased online, at the outdoor pool or the Aquatic Center at 410 Central Avenue North, New Prague
Insurance Reimbursement
We are partnering with NIHCA, the National Independent Health Club Association, to offer you reimbursements through your insurance plan. If you have a qualifying health insurance plan and come a required number of visits you can generally earn up to $20 per month back on your membership.

Silver Sneakers & Silver and Fit
Thinking about a Silver &Fit or Silver Sneakers Membership?
Many of our senior patrons qualify for a Silver & Fit or a Silver Sneakers membership. These memberships are usually of no cost to you. We deal with your insurance company for you. All we need to check your eligibility is your full name and birth date. There are no number of visit requirements either. Come as little or as often as you would like! If you would like to see if you qualify for one of these memberships, visit the Aquatic Center front desk or call (952) 758-1753 today.
