Speech/Language Pathologist
Hello! I'm so glad you found me. My name is Sydney, and I am a Speech/Language Pathologist with Fosston Public Schools, where I've been serving since 2024 (Go Greyhounds!). I have the privilege of working with Preschool through 12th grade students at both Magelssen Elementary School and Fosston High School who have speech and/or language disorders.
I have my bachelor's degree in Speech/Language/Hearing Sciences from Minnesota State University-Moorhead and my master's degree in Communicative Disorders from Minnesota State University-Moorhead. I am working toward my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs) in Speech/Language Pathology through the American-Speech-Hearing Association (ASHA).
My goal at Fosston Public Schools is to support students with communication needs across settings. If you suspect your child has a communication disorder, please contact your child's school or teacher.
About Me
I am originally from Erskine, Minnesota, and now live in Fosston. Before graduate school, I worked as a Speech/Language Pathology Paraprofessional (SLPP) for Hope-Page and Maple Valley school districts in North Dakota. In the spring of 2024, I completed my final clinical placement with Amanda Wiener at Magelssen Elementary School and have coached the JH North Stars softball team for the past two years. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, working on house projects, playing card games, and watching movies. Some of my favorites include iced coffee, chicken alfredo, online shopping, peanut M&Ms, and organizing.
