Mrs. Steinbrenner
Special Education
Welcome to Mrs. Steinbrenner's Special Education Classes and Services!
Here I am with my family at Fenway Park in Boston, taking in a Red Sox game!
I am Sarah Steinbrenner. This is my 17th year of teaching. I spent the first 11 years teaching Visual Art at both the high school and middle school level before pivoting into Special Education for the last five years across K-12 but primarily with elementary students. I have case managed students with all types of disabilities. I have Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and a Master of Science degree in Special Education from the University of North Dakota. My licensure areas are K-12 Visual Art and K-12 Autism Spectrum Disorders. Funny enough, I have found I use more creativity in my role as a Special Education teacher than I did as an Art teacher.
I was born and raised in Fosston and raise my two children, Ben and Heidi, with my husband in the farmhouse I grew up in. I love making art, reading, camping with my kids, traveling, community service projects and volunteering, shopping with my daughter, and the Minnesota Twins!
