Welcome to Pine City Schools Online Academy!

Below is the Fall 2022-2023 registration form for families to secure a spot for our Online Academy! The Pine City Online Academy has an off-site virtual feel with in-person connections to Pine City Public School staff!

In addition to academic content, the Pine City Online Academy K-12 students will participate in an online Advisory (7-12) or Morning Meeting (K-6) with one of our very own Pine City MN licensed school staff.

We recognize that through the seasons of a child's educational journey, their needs might be different (ex. Elementary vs. High School)

Pine City's Online Academy is designed to support the needs of all children.

Elementary students (K-6) access to core content will be delivered solely through virtual teaching module program with built in scheduled times to engage with Pine City Public Schools staff members. One point of contact could will include a daily Morning Meeting, while the other three will depend on enrollment, academic need, and daily google meet check-ins.

Secondary students (7-12) access to core content will be virtually; however, the schedule 7-12 students will follow is a block schedule with includes traditional class periods for Google Meets. During period 2, 3, 5 and 6 Online Academy students will participate in academic check-ins, progress monitoring feedback, remediation/acceleration, questions and answer sessions and be expected to report daily to these periods for a 10 minute google meet facilitated by Pine City High School licensed staff.

Each child will be issued a school device to use. The academic content used by Pine City Online Academy and a majority of content aligned to Minnesota State Standards. The learning platform will continue to be Google.

More details will be provided at the Orientation for the Online Academy students and families in September and will receive additional information.

To ensure all students educational planning is secure for Fall, we do request enrollment forms need to be completed no later than August 20, 2021. No late enrollments will be accepted unless students are new to district.

Please note, it is recommended students and families commit to the Pine City Online Academy based on its scope and content for one full year. The required minimum commitment is one full semester.
