Orchestra

This organization is for those who have an appreciation of orchestral music or want to pursue it as a career or hobby. This is not a club so much as it is an extension of the music classroom.

The Orchestra leaders have people from SEMYO come in every year, and they also prepare their students to attend All State and other competitions within the state.

The group members are active fundraisers; they will commonly sell puffins for charity!

How to join: Students can join by signing up for specific music classes. Freshman must take Concert Orchestra, but everyone else goes into Symphonic Strings. To get into Symphonic Honors a student needs to audition, but otherwise they can just apply to the class and get in.

Student Leadership: Each section of the orchestra has a leader, so you may work your way up to that chair.
