The Group Empowerment Merit Society, otherwise known as G.E.M.S. in STEM, has been informally running for over a year. Their goal is to empower underrepresented groups including women, nonbinary and LGBTQ+ individuals, as well as other minorities to pursue scientific careers by connecting students with professionals in the community in their fields of interest.

G.E.M.S. in STEM hosts inclusive networking events featuring professional speakers in STEM careers. They also partner with community organizations to connect students with mentorship opportunities.
