Intermediate School MakerSpace Cart

MakerSpace is place where students can refine their 21st Century Skills of creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication while making, creating and exploring. Meant to be used across the curriculum, teachers can use this cart to enhance their lessons with student choice in how they represent their learning or as a lesson in and of itself. the MakerSpace cart is also ideal for Genius Hour time!

Teacher Guides and Lesson Resources

One Lego Story Starter kit is available for teachers to use with their students. Approximately 4-5 students can use the kit at one time. This makes an excellent station for Literacy Centers or other small groups. One kit will be stored on the Primary School Lego Lab/Creator Space cart and one will be stored on the Intermediate School MakerSpace cart.

Makey Makey is an invention kit for the 21st century. Turn everyday objects into touchpads and combine them with the internet.

It's a simple Invention Kit for Beginners and Experts doing art, engineering, and everything in between: The kit will include everything you see above: Makey Makey, Alligator Clips, USB Cable.

Three Kinex Deluxe Building Sets are currently on the cart. These provide endless creative building opportunities. Each kit has a booklet of building ideas. An Elementary Math and Geometry binder of lessons is also included on the cart and includes 12 geometry and fraction lessons. Though intended for a different kit the lessons should work with the Deluxe Building Kit.

Two Gravity Maze games for visual perception and reasoning skills practice. Meant for one to two students at a time, this would be a great station or an early finishers project. 60 challenge cards are included from beginner to expert.

Two Alex Giant Art Tubs are included on the cart because sometimes your creations need feathers, tissue paper and more. Feel free to use whatever is int he tubs, we will refill when able. Again, these materials are for you to use for whatever project your students are working on. Adding flair to their creations is always encouraged!

IPEVO Document Camera - you will just need to use Chrome and download the IPEVO app to use it, once the app is open you just plug in the doc cam to your computer and it works!
