Food Service options

School meals are vital to the nutrition of many students. We are committed to ensuring all students have the ability to access school meals during the school closure by offering meals through delivery to sites around the school district.

To-Go Breakfast and Lunch

As part of the school shut-down, "to-go" breakfast, lunch, and snack for students and children ages 18 and under, will be available at delivery sites within our school district boundaries at no charge for all students.

Delivery Sites

These sites will have food available for pick-up between 9:30 am and 11:00 am.

  • Bena Community Center

  • Bowstring Store

  • Gosh Dam Place/Winnie Dam

  • Inger Community Center

  • Evergreen Terrace

  • King Elementary

  • Deer River High School

  • S. Lake Community Center

*Deer River Public Schools will be delivering student meals Thursday March 26th and Friday March 27th to all listed

delivery sites.

Please be assured that all Food and Nutrition staff are continuously reviewing policies, using proper hand washing techniques and ensuring food preparation sites are clean and sanitized. All staff preparing and distributing food are taking standard food preparation precautions.

Challenges Getting Food

If you or someone you know is having a hard time getting access to the food at the delivery sites, please call your school office and let them know so we can make adjustments. Call 218-246-2420 and follow the prompts to get to school office of your choice.
