Indian Education is still collecting entries for the Young Artist/Young Writer's competition in March. Entries must pertain to American Indian culture, language and traditions but the contest is open to all students. Entries can be made in the following categories:

Art (drawing, painting, sculpture, computer art)

Crafts (beadwork, leatherwork/sewing, yarn & dowel, dream catchers, baskets

Creative Writing (poetry, short story/300 words or less, essay/over 300 words

Photography

Handdrum

Dance

Please see Miss Jari in Indian Ed for more information or an entry form, entries are due by Monday, March 16th.


There is NO fish decoy club this week due to the early out and conferences. See you next week! 


8th graders:  Reminder, all Upward Bound materials are due to Ms. Stade this Friday, March 6th. 


6th graders:  Are you faster than the Principal?   You can test your skills on Thursday.


Update on Jazz Band:  Jazz band will resume on Wednesday, March 4th at 7:15am and will run on Wednesday and Friday mornings.


PPR Question of the week:   This week our question is: “Do you have time built into your schedule to take care of your responsibilities and also time for relaxing?  Are you happy with the balance of these two things or do you feel you need to make adjustments?”  If you give your written response to your PPR teacher or put it in the PPR box in the media center, you become eligible for prizes next week!


Please stop by the Indian Education office Mondays - Thursdays to answer the Question of the Week!  A new question will be posted every week and students will receive a Jolly Rancher for a correct answer and their names will be entered into a drawing for a candy bar on Friday!  Question of the Week is open to all students.

Stay on track for the BASH!

Attention all BMS students: we will host our spring BMS Bash on Friday, April 24.  This event is free to attend, but attendance is based on your TERM 3 GRADES.  You do not want to miss out on this fun event (strobelight dodgeball, dance, photo booth, concessions, movies, games, Karaoke) so be sure to stay on top of your grades - listen to your teachers, turn in homework, and do your best on tests!! With it being MidTerm already - are you on track to attend?!


Students involved in Honor Society/ Student Council/Peer Leaders/Uplift Project:  Who wants to go skiing or snowboarding at Buena Vista on Friday, March 6th?  We will load the bus at BMS at 3:30pm and return to BMS by 8pm.  We can take 65 kids. If you are a part of any of these groups, please get your permission slips and release information packets from your group leader.

Please return them to Ms. Janel Samuelson (Omega 814) by March 6th.

If you have a season pass, you are still welcome to come - you will need to fill out the day pass release form!

If you plan on renting any of the following you will need to fill out EVERY release form in the packet (4 total). 

Ski rental: $18

Snowboard rental: $20

Helmet rental: $8

There will be NO 21CCLC After School Programs on March 5th or March 9th.
