Brainpower in a backpack update:

This year's Bowls for BrainPower will be an Online Silent Auction May 14 - 23, 2020. You can look at and bid on their items by clicking HERE .

There will be a Best of Show Silent Auction featuring Tim Hammes original pottery pieces, as well as, a special experience to learn the pottery wheel from BHS Art Teacher, Robyn Kegley and other pottery experts.

Funds raised will support District #191's hunger relief program, BrainPower in a BackPack, which currently serves over 800 students PreK through High School.

McDonald's Night

At this time, our school nights at McDonald's is canceled until further notice. McDonald's Drive Thru continues to be open. Don't forget your child may have coupons from a previous school night that could be used at this time, if needed.

Staff Wish List: 2019-20

Please bring donated items to the Metcalf Office. THANK YOU for your generosity!

PBIS is requesting $5 or $10 gift cards to use as rewards for students. These can be to food places such as Subway, McDonald's, Dairy Queen, Brueggers, Caibou, Starbucks, etc or any other place that may motivate students such as Skateville, Rock N Jump, etc. Bring gift cards to the office and let them know it is for PBIS.

Other Donations Needed:

  • Pencils
  • Kleenex
  • Post-it notes
  • Black Felt tip pens for student use
  • Dividers for students (9-10 tabs)
  • Books for the classroom
  • Loose leaf paper
  • Red Pens

Current Volunteer Needs at Metcalf:

Volunteer needs may change through out the year so check this page for updates.

Spanish volunteer- Help with students learning Spanish during class - must speak Spanish. Contact: Julio Neptuno Temozan jneptunotemozan@isd191.org

English Language Learners (ELL) volunteer- Work with students one-on-one tutoring to help with learning English in conversation. Contact: Cecilia Kessler ckessler@isd191.org 952-707-2491

Media Center- Laminating materials once a week, general help, will train. Contact: Christie Burke cburke@isd191.org 952-707-2445

Cafeteria- Help supervise the cafeteria or gym by walking around and watching students. Contact: Megan Peterson, Dean mapeterson@isd191.org 952-707-2419

Cooking/Sewing- Help with cooking and/or hand sewing for FACS from 9:30-11:00. Contact: Laurie Ruzichka lruzichka@isd191.org 952-707-2457

ONE91 Boundary changes: UPDATES

The Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District #191 recently voted to close 3 schools: Metcalf Middle School, Sioux Trail Elementary and Marion W Savage Elementary. In the coming months the district will work on restructuring the boundaries, buildings, busing and staffing, etc. We welcome parents to find out more information and to be part of the process.
