2021 MN Junior PGA Players Tour Tournament Invitational Registration ( Competitive Schedule 8- 12) Tournaments
Who is invited to play on the 2021 Players Tour:
Players Tour invites are being sent out based on your average score to par using your best three 18-hole scores from our program in 2020. To receive an invite in 2021, Junior girls had a scoring average to par of 16.00 or less. click here to check out the junior girls invite list based on your scoring average to par from 2020
If you did not receive an invite based on your average score to par in 2020 you might be able to play based on your handicap index under the World Handicap System. Girls must be 16.0 or less qualify for the Players Tour. If you meet the above handicap requirements, contact Karla Hagen at the Section office to verify your handicap and make you eligible to register for the Players Tour Membership. You can email her at khagen@pgahq.com and please make sure your email includes: first and last name, city, GHIN number and handicap index to get verified.
Membership registration for the 2021 Players Tour will start on Monday, February 1. The membership fee for the Players Tour is $125.00 (includes a Junior Tour Membership)
When will the 2021 Players Tour Schedule be released:
We are currently finalizing the 2021 Players Tour Schedule. It will be released on our website on Monday, March 1. The Players Tour Schedule no longer has a set series of events that you will register for, all Players Tour event registration will be done a la cart. We will begin first come, first serve registration for all Players Tour events on Monday, March 8 at NOON CST. You must first be a member of the 2021 Players Tour to register for events. Membership registration for the Players Tour will start on Monday, February 1. (All dates/times are subject to change)

ENTRY INFORMATION: Entry forms must be postmarked by Thursday, July 18 or competed online by that date. An entry fee of $40 must accompany the entry form. The entry fee includes the greens fee. Late or incomplete entries are not acceptable. Entries by telephone or FAX are not acceptable.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all amateur players of any ability with or without a Handicap Index. Contestants must be 18 years of age or younger on September 1, 2019. The USGA’s definition of an amateur golfer is the standard of the Twin Cities Championship. All entries are subject to approval or rejection at any time by the Tournament Committee. ENTRY FEE $40
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
For both boys and girls there will be three age divisions: 12 and under, 13-15, and 16-18. In the 13-15 and 16-18 Divisions the competition will be 18-hole stroke play. In the 12 and under division the competition will be 9-hole stroke play. Ties for first place in the 12 and under and 13-15 age groups will be determined by a scorecard playoff. Ties for first place in the 16-18 Division will be played off immediately, hole by hole, until a champion is determined. For all scorecard playoffs, the Tournament Committee will follow the USGA recommendation of matching scorecards (i.e. final nine, final six, final three, 18th hole, by lot).

Wedin Comes From Behind to Edge Chanhassen Teammate Hicks for Top Individual Honors
Firing the tournament low of 5-over 76 Tuesday, Courtney Wedin erased a slim deficit to slip past teammate Madi Hicks for a two-stroke victory, earning medalist honors at 13-over 155.
“Individually, it’s one of my last tournaments of the summer and finishing off my junior season strong,” Wedin said following her victory Tuesday. “For our team, it’s a nice, warm feeling that we won state this year and won this tournament last year. “A lot of us girls always play in the same tournaments and we see each other at other tournaments, but coming here and knowing that we’re specifically a team and not playing for ourselves is special and being able to play with a teammate is really nice.”
Beginning her final round on the back nine Tuesday, Wedin turned in 3-over before carding three early bogeys during her back nine to slip to 14-over for the championship.
Rolling in a pair of late birdies helped Wedin to a round of 75 Tuesday and boosted her team to a 30-stroke victory over the foursome of Molly Albrecht, Taya Kwiatkowski, Francesca Otterson and Trinity Sundbom.
“This is a challenging course, so knowing which holes are par holes and which ones are birdie holes was definitely helpful and getting used to the greens today,” Wedin said. “I usually putt with the flagstick in all the time and today on the front nine I took it out for the first time in five weeks and made my put, so I figured I’d leave it out the rest of the round.
“Our team came in winning last year and knew we could win again and that was the mindset that we had.
Coming off a victory Friday at the Minnesota Junior PGA Girls’ Players’ Tour Tournament of Champions at St. Cloud Country Club, Hicks took the opening-lead at 7-over 78 Monday before posting a 79 during the final round to finish second at 157. Tricia Hemann helped the cause by posting an 84 Tuesday, while Emily Renner carded a 93.

2019 Minnesota PGA Junior Tour
The Junior Tour is designed for 13-19 year-old and all events are 18-hole stroke play competitions. The Junior Tour consists of two different age divisions, 13-15 and 16-19, for both boys and girls. This is for players who are looking to play competitive golf in a recreational environment—similar to other club-level sports. It is also a great option for those looking to play competitively in high school or may already be on a high school team. The Junior Tour is the primary per-requisite to earn status on the Players Tour. Juniors who have reached their 19th birthday prior to September 1, 2019 are eligible only if they have immediately finished their senior year of high school. Annual membership fee of $100.00. Each 18 hole event has a cost of $29.00.

2019 Minnesota PGA Players Tour
The Players Tour is an invitational program in which the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Committee determines eligibility requirements. This is open to boys and girls ages 13-19. Juniors who have reached their 19th birthday prior to September 1, 2019 are eligible only if they have immediately finished their senior year of high school. Invites are sent out to junior’s based on their average score to par using their top three scores in our programs from 2018.

Chanhassen 's Courtney Dunkelberger win's the 2018 MN PGA Junior Warrior Cup in the 16-19 age division. This tournament is an invite-only, 18-hole event highlighting competitors who have previously won tournaments on the 2018 Valspar Junior Tour earlier this summer. The 2018 Warrior Cup was hosted by Island View Golf Club in Waconia, MN. on August 14, 2018 with the eventual girls and boys winner claiming automatic exemption onto the 2019 MN-WI PGA Junior Cup Matches team. HICKS LEADS CHANHASSEN GIRLS TO TEAM VICTORY
Spearheaded by Madison Hicks’ round of 1-over par 73 Tuesday, the team of Courtney Wedin, Hayley Thompson and Tricia Hemann erased a two-stroke deficit and rallied to earn a four-stroke victory, shooting a combined 36-hole score of 16-over par 304 to claim the 2018 MGA Junior Team Championship at Fox Hollow Golf Club.
Hicks also earned individual medalist honors by finishing at 1-over par 145, three shots better than Catherine Monty, who fired the tournament’s only round below par Tuesday, finishing at 4-over par 148.
Courtney Wedin placed 14th at 16-over par 160 Tuesday, while Hemann’s contribution helped her to a 15th-place finish at 168. Hayley Thompson finished in a tie for 26th at 181 to help the cause.
