Honoring Minnesota's Fallen Heroes

The Minnesota Fallen Heroes Football Game was created to honor and remember Minnesota military service members and emergency responders who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending and protecting our country and communities.

The Ryane Clark Heroes Project created the Minnesota Fallen Heroes Football Game (MNFHFG) in September 2022. The event was founded by Gold Star Parents Rick and Tracy Clark and Gold Star Sister Aleah Clark Ague to honor their son and brother, Ryane G. Clark. Ryane was a 2007 graduate of New London-Spicer High School and a United States Army soldier who was killed in action in 2010 during Operation Enduring Freedom.

The Clark family's vision was to create an event that honors military service members and emergency responders who made the ultimate sacrifice while also providing their families with an opportunity to share their stories and keep their loved ones' memories alive.

The Minnesota Fallen Heroes Football Game features two high school teams, with 10 players from each team giving up their own names for the evening to play in honor of a local fallen hero. Each player represents a hero whose story they learn and carry with them throughout the event.

This is more than just a football game—it is an honor these young players will carry with them for the rest of their lives. In many cases, players and Gold Star families form meaningful bonds that last forever.

Funds raised through the Minnesota Fallen Heroes Football Game support the Fallen Heroes Scholarship, helping honor the legacy of Minnesota's fallen heroes by investing in the future of our students.
