Portuguese Journal of Social Science

Submission guidelines for authors

Thank you for considering publishing your work in the Portuguese Journal of Social Science (PJSS).

The aim of the PJSS is to provide a medium for the publication of original papers covering Portuguese thought and research on social sciences. The editorial committee is particularly keen to publish work on current developments in research and analysis.

If you are sure this is the right place for you, then before beginning the submission process, we would be most grateful if you could take a few moments to read this guide to ensure your work meets our requirements and that you know what to expect from us.

Doing so at the outset of the submission process eliminates unnecessary delays in the evaluation and publication process and helps ensure consistency within each journal and across all issues.

As a contributing author, your primary point of contact will be with the PJSS’s editorial consultant, who is responsible for guiding all submissions through the evaluation and publication process.

Any queries regarding the status of your submission should, in the fi rst instance, be directed to the editorial consultant; any other queries should be directed to myself, or to any member of the editorial committee.
