As the world continues to urbanize at an unprecedented pace, municipalities are at the forefront of addressing the complex challenges of sustainability, resource management, and quality of life. The idea of Smart Municipalities — where innovative technologies, data-driven solutions, and forward-thinking policies converge to enhance urban living — has gained significant traction. This workshop brings together municipality managers, researchers, and thought leaders to explore how smart and innovative initiatives can play a pivotal role in the sustainable development of cities.
In this full-day forum, we will delve into cutting-edge examples from around the globe, showcasing how cities are leveraging technological advancements to address a wide array of urban challenges. From artificial intelligence and digital twins to data-driven urban management and smart destination planning, the workshop will provide a platform for municipality managers to learn, exchange ideas, and discover practical strategies for implementing smart initiatives in their own contexts.
Through engaging talks, insightful demonstrations, and a dynamic panel discussion, we hope to spark new ideas, partnerships, and strategies for transforming municipalities into smarter, more sustainable entities.
