Transportation Information

NCKU campus sits next to rear gate of TRA Tainan station, which is located in the downtown area of Tainan City. Visitors can reach here by car, train (TRA), bus, airplane, and high‐speed‐rail (THSR) conveniently.

Ground Transportation

From TRA Tainan Train Station (TRA Website)

1. Take TRA Train to Tainan Station.
2. Please exit from the rear gate of TRA Tainan Station.
3. It takes about 5-10 minutes to walk along Dasyue Road to Cheng Kung Campus, NCKU.

By THSR (THSR Timetable)

1. Take THSR to THSR Tainan Station.
2. THSR Tainan Station ➤ TRA Shalun Station
3. Walk to the TRA Shalun Station which is right next to the THSR Tainan Station (2F)
4. TRA Shalun Station ➤ TRA Tainan Station

Please take the train of Tainan-Shalun line from Shalun to Tainan, departing every 30 minutes. The journey takes around 20 minutes.

By Car

1. Coming from north, exit at Dawan Interchange then follow directions to the Tainan railway station, about 10 minutes driving.
2. Coming from south, exit at Rende Interchange, follow directions to the city center, about 15 minutes driving.

From Taoyuan International Airport

1. Taoyuan International Airport ➤ THSR Taoyuan Station

2. THSR Taoyuan Station ➤ THSR Tainan Station ➤ TRA Shalun Station ➤ TRA Tainan Station

From Taipei SongShan Airport

1. Taipei SongShan Airport ➤ THSR Taipei Station/TRA Taipei station

✶ Please take Taipei Metro from SongShan Airport to Taipei Main Station

✶ Please change to red line at Zhongxiao Fuxing, get off at Taipei Main Station

✶ Walk in 3 minutes to THSR Taipei Station or TRA Taipei station, you can choose either way to Tainan.
