Jazz Band

Jazz Band (7^th and 8^th Grade): Students continue to hone their craft and develop their musicianship skills. Music is more rigorous and more advanced musical concepts are introduced. Students also learn the basics of improvisation and jazz history tracing its development from ragtime and blues to fusion and free jazz. Students perform a variety of different jazz pieces during the Winter and Spring Concerts.
