The Swerve

The Swerve is IS 187's literary magazine (see here).

Anyone can submit writing or art to The Swerve.

Please include your name, your class, and a title for the submission in the email.

The Swerve meets every Thursday (3:10-5:10PM).

The Swerve is a student-run digital magazine. Current students, alumni, and parents can submit original work of any kind. We are looking for visual art; fiction; nonfiction; photography; poetry; political opinions; reporting on current events and school events; book reviews; videos of singing or dancing; even recipes.

If you would like to participate in meetings of The Swerve, where you will work on creative projects, get to collaborate with other students on work, learn how to operate our website, maintain our advertising campaigns, make executive decisions about the direction of the club, and have a fun time, then please see Mr Hederman in the NIA office (room 115)

To be notified when The Swerve has updates, you can subscribe in the box on the right hand side. It looks like this:

The faculty moderators of The Swerve are Mr Savarese and Mr Feil.

In May every year, the Swerve holds the Swerve Spectacular Talent Show.
