ISHR Secondary After School Activities 2018/19

Secondary After School Activities - Fall 2018

Below is a summary of Secondary after school activities expected to start in the second full week of the new school year (week commencing 27.08.2018). Sign-up will begin during week commencing 20th August. We hope to have a new system in place where all information, sign-up and communications are managed in one place, making it easier for as all to manage our after school activities. More information about this system, and sign-up procedure will be sent out one week before school begins.

Please note, there will be no online sign up for the school bands. Interested students should speak with Mr. Rockwin before at the start of the school year.

Dress Code - Sport Activities

All participants of sporting activities are expected to wear appropriate, functional clothing. Indoor activities require non-marking, clean indoor shoes.

Commitment and Absences

There is an expectation that once signed up for an activity, students attend the activity for its entire duration. If circumstances prevent students from coming to or continuing an activity, we ask you to inform myself and the activity leader/coach in advance. Attendance will be taken into account when picking teams for GISST tournaments.

Attendance will be taken at each activity, both in primary and secondary, and any unexplained absences will be followed up with parents firstly via email, then by a phone call. Therefore it is essential that all absences are reported in order that we do not try and contact you unnecessarily.

Costs

As a general rule, there is no additional charge for after school activities. Exceptions are GISST tournaments, where travel and accommodation costs are shared amongst the team.
