Irving ISD
Five Irving ISD middle schools were awarded a multi-year grant from Verizon that includes data-enabled 1-1 iPads for all students and teachers, a digital learning coach at each campus, and professional development for teachers and staff. This grant is directed by Digital Promise and the goal of this initiative is to provide 24/7 access to technology to empower learners to be "content creators, adept problem-solvers, and responsible consumers of digital media and learning resources".

Lamar MS Rollout Video
Students on the Lamar Student Tech team were an integral part of the VILS iPad Rollout on October 6th. Student Jaime Cuevas, 6th grader, put together a video documenting the event. Tech Team members Diego Morales, Hector Valdizon, Cynnia Hall, and Karen Benavidez assisted with the handout and setup of the iPads. Karen Benavidez and Rodrigo Torres also used their photography and filmmaking skills to assist Jamie with the creation of the video.
