In Irving ISD, Canvas is the learning management system (LMS) for grades 6-12. The platform allows educators to create and present learning materials, assess student mastery, and provide feedback in one place. Parents also have the opportunity to join their students' accounts as observers.
In Irving ISD, Canvas is the learning management system (LMS) for grades 6-12. The platform allows educators to create and present learning materials, assess student mastery, and provide feedback in one place. Parents also have the opportunity to join their students' accounts as observers.
- Courses listed through the Teacher Access Center (TAC) will automatically generate a Canvas Course.
- While Canvas does have a gradebook feature, TAC will serve as the official gradebook for Irving ISD.
- All courses in Irving ISD will utilize the Canvas templates found in Commons.
