25-26 Annual Compliance Training
There are statutory courses for all Texas public school employees. The following sessions satisfy local, state and federal requirements for teachers, administrators, and other district staff members.
ALL Irving ISD employees must complete the 25-26 Annual Compliance Training by October 10*. Employees hired after October 10 have 3 weeks from their date of hire to complete this training.
Employees should direct questions and requests for further clarification to their immediate supervisor.
25-26 T-TESS Training
T-TESS Training must be completed by employees evaluated using the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS). The 25-26 T-TESS training will occur at campus during Back to School Learning.
Employees hired after August 11 have 3 weeks from their date of hire to complete this training.
25-26 Required GT Training
In accordance with Chapter 89, all teachers who serve gifted students during core instruction are required to have their GT 30 hours before being assigned to those students. This includes the following teachers:
All kindergarten teachers
All teachers in grades 1-5 who will serve the GT cluster class
All middle school teachers of GT RLA Humanities, GT Math/Algebra 1, and GT Science/Biology
All high school teachers of GT English 2, GT English 5, GT Geometry, GT Algebra 2, and GT Chemistry
All AP teachers in English, Math, Science, Computer Science, and Social Studies, including AP Seminar and AP Research

25-26 Required Bilingual Training
To receive bilingual stipend payments, PreK-5 bilingual teachers must complete six (6) hours of strategically assigned professional development.
Staff hired by August 5, 2025 must complete all six hours by September 5, 2025.
Staff hired after August 5, 2025 must complete the requirements within 30 days of their date of hire.
HB 684 Seizure Training for School Personnel
In accordance with House Bill 684 (Sam’s Law), all school personnel whose duties include regular contact with students are required to complete a seizure training course. The course is approximately 1 hour and is all online. Instructions on how to complete the course are in Mobile Mind once the link is opened.
Handle With Care/Trauma-Informed Care Training for School Personnel
Campus staff that did not complete this training in the 24-25 school year must complete the required training at https://hwc.mmhpi.org.
