TPACK is a framework that explains the different types of knowledge teachers need to successfully incorporate instructional technology into their classrooms.
Technological Knowledge— A teacher’s understanding of instructional technology tools, particularly the ones used within their content area and school.
Pedagogical Knowledge — A teacher’s knowledge of best teaching practices.
Content Knowledge — A teacher’s expertise in their subject area or areas.
The TPACK model helps us understand how these areas overlap. The 5 minute video to the right provides further explanation.
