Tip 1: If you can't submit, edit, or view the Google Doc (or Slides, or Sheet), try clicking the link highlighted in this screenshot that says "Can't see your document? Click here." This will force Google & Schoology to communicate and fix your problem 9/10 times.
Tip 2: Clear your browsing data. To do this, click on the three dots in the upper right corner of Chrome. Click "History", or press Ctrl+H, and then select "Clear Browsing Data" (1.).
In the popup window, make sure the Time Range says "All time" and that the boxes "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files" are checked.
Finally, click "Clear Data" (2.), close Chrome, then restart and try again.
If you are still having trouble, please try some of the other solutions below.
The first way to fix this problem is to make sure you've installed the Google Drive Resource App. The animation shows you how to install the app.
Once the app is installed, you'll be asked to connect your Google Account. Follow the prompts on screen to connect your IRSD Google Account to your Schoology account.
This is a one-time setup step which will almost always allow you to view and submit future Google Assignments.
If your screen shows an error message, or it doesn't even allow you to view the Doc/Sheet/Slides your teacher has attached to the assignment, chances are you are suffering from account confusion.
2. To fix this confusion, watch this YouTube screencast which explains how to sync your IRSD Google Account with the Chrome web browser. After you have synced Chrome with your IRSD Google Account, you should have fixed any account confusion.
Note: You can have multiple different Google Accounts synced to Chrome. Here's a second YouTube screencast which demonstrates how you can:
add additional Google Accounts to your Chrome browser,
toggle between those accounts, and also
how to stop sync/remove those accounts.
If you run into the error again, make sure that you are synced to Chrome with your IRSD Google Account!
In the event that you still have problems, watch the silent screencast which shows you how to reconnect your Google Account to your Schoology account. This should fix any connection issues you are experiencing.
