A little bit about myself: This is my 5th year at Fischer Middle School, and I am ecstatic to be working with the best kids, parents, and staff in the district! This is my 10th year teaching, and it has been a wild ride! I have taught in three different schools, at four different grade levels, and a variety of content areas. I must say though, this has been my favorite stop along the way! Fischer is home.

I received my undergraduate degree from North Central College in 2008, my masters in Educational Leadership from Aurora University in 2012, and I recently finished my second masters in Special Education through Concordia University of Chicago. I am currently working on receiving my endorsement in Educational Technology from the University of St. Francis.

I am the father of three amazing boys, Connor (5), Jacob (3), and Noah (2), and they have really opened my eyes to how important my role is as a teacher. It is my personal mission to be the kind of teacher I want them to have in school. At the same time, I am committed to inspiring my students to become the kind of people I would be proud for my own boys to become. I should give my wife (Allison) some credit as well. She is also a teacher (4th grade), and her ability to handle 4 crazy Johnson boys (myself included) is amazing in and of itself!
