I teach Essential Technology, Creative Technology, and Tech Revolution. I also sponsor the Girls Who Code club held at Fischer Middle School. Please see below for details of each class.

Essential Technology - This is a required class for all 6th grade students. The following units are covered during this semester class. There will no no homework associated with this class. Daily Agendas and in class assignments will be posted in Google Classroom.

      • Used as a warm up activity. Emphasis is placed on technique, speed and accuracy. “Touch-type” method of learning to keyboard is emphasized through using the Typing.com website.

Tech Revolution - This is an elective class for 8th grade. There will no no homework associated with this class. Daily Agendas and in class assignments will be posted in Google Classroom.

      • Learn how to foster computational thinking and logical problem solving.
      • Learn about Internet of Things (IoT) and how the devices connected through the internet generate and share data creating system of systems.

Girls Who Code:

  • National organization focused on teaching coding where girls learn the concepts of loops, variables, conditionals, and functions that form the basis for all programming languages. This club meets during semester 1 of the school year for 2 hours per week.
