Ofsted Report - November 2016
Please find linked here the November 2016, IPACA OFSTED report. The inspection report confirmed the view of the governing body and Principal at the time, that the academy was inadequate. We encourage you to read the full report.
The report recognises that the Principal, Joss Hayes, is taking decisive action to improve the Academy. She is currently supported by an experienced Executive Principal. Leaders and teachers also have the support of Wimborne Teaching Alliance, in Maths, English and Science; colleagues from Wimborne have been working at the academy since the Autumn term and this work has already had a positive impact. We are committed to working with all external support agencies to improve the education of children as soon as possible. The work so far has ensured that we have;
- A strong behaviour policy, ensuring that all children are ready to learn and no learning time is lost
- Development of the curriculum to ensure a clear focus on core subjects
- All primary teachers trained to deliver Maths No Problem, supporting raising attainment.
