Summer Reading: Comprehension Questions
Fiction and Nonfiction
Welcome! You are almost in eighth grade, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to bring my love of reading (and writing) to you! You were asked to read two books this summer; one fiction and one non fiction, and then answer some basic questions about them. Make sure you have it with you on the first day of school as we will use this assignment to kick off our exciting new year!
Handwrite (neatly) or type your answers to the questions in complete sentences on separate pages, and turn it in on the first day of school with this sheet. Please make sure all needed information is noted.
Literary Comprehension Questions (Fiction)

- What personality traits did you observe in the protagonist? You should have

8. What do you think the genre of the book is? (Ex: mystery, adventure, historical fiction…)

2019 Summer Reading Work
Over the summer, you are to read a nonfiction and a fiction book, as well as answer the questions Mrs. LaPan will distribute. The questions will also be posted on the 8th Grade Homework site, which can be accessed on the ILMT page (ILMT->Faculty/Staff Contact-> Scroll down to 8th Grade Homework).
