Computational Constructs#1 Generative Artwork (2025)
Computational Constructs is a series of systems-based generative artworks that explore computation and connectedness. The work is built from modular computational elements that follow clear, deterministic rules, interacting over time to produce ever-changing visual and sonic structures.
In the work presented here, the underlying systems consist of eight sets of 32 colours taken from my 23112019 universe and can take many forms. These forms and the underlying processes that construct them can be presented as prints, interactive images and soundÂ
works. The artwork emphasises determinism, process, emergence, and cause-and-effect, inviting audiences to experience computation not as a black-box AI, but as an active, understandable process that unfolds over time.
Everything in Computational Constructs happens for a reason. The patterns and processes it contains are ultimately recoverable by the viewer through their experience of the artwork.
