PIMUN (Prepa Ibero Model United Nations) brings international diplomacy to life. Acting as global delegates and decision-makers, students take the floor to tackle high-stakes geopolitical crises, forge strategic alliances, and author policy resolutions aimed at real-world change.

At its core, PIMUN serves as a launchpad for critical leadership skills. Delegates sharpen their ability to build consensus, deliver persuasive arguments, conduct deep research, and analyze multifaceted global issues under pressure.

PIMUN matters because the world needs proactive, ethical leaders. The platform challenges students to step outside their comfort zones, evaluate global conflicts through diverse lenses, and turn debate into actionable impact.

Letter from the Secretary-General

Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and Guests,

Welcome to PIMUN 2026! My name is Iñaki León Garza, and I am honored to serve as your Secretary General for this year’s conference.

For me, Model UN has never been just an academic exercise. Having participated in MUN conferences both across Mexico and internationally, I’ve fallen in love with the adrenaline of debate, the depth of research required to truly understand complex global issues, and the idea that being informed is the first step toward actually changing the world. MUN teaches us that young people don't have to wait for the future to make an impact, we start right here in committee.

Our Secretariat team and faculty advisors are working behind the scenes to make PIMUN 2026 an unforgettable experience. Whether you are stepping into committee for the very first time or returning as an experienced delegate, this conference is designed to push your boundaries, challenge your perspectives, and refine your voice.

Over the coming days, take risks. Speak up in caucuses, push for ambitious resolutions, and connect with delegates from every background. The unexpected turns in debate are where the real growth happens.
