Leonardo da Vinci spent his last years outside Itlay.
At the age of 65 he accepted the invitation of a young King to enter his service. During those years, he did little painting and spent most of his time arranging and editing his scientific studies, his treatise on painting, and a few pages of his anatomy treatise.
Most of his notes are written using a special writing, starting at the right side of the page and moving to the left. Some scholars think that Leonardo was trying to make it harder for people to read his notes and steal his ideas.
