Maundene Weekly
________________________
Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been another incredibly busy and productive week across all year groups at Maundene! The children have been working hard, showcasing their skills from mathematics to creative writing.
Here is a look at what each year group has been up to this week:
We are all looking forward to our rescheduled Sports Day! Fingers crossed that the British weather behaves itself and remains dry for our athletes.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Miss Capes, Mrs Taylor and the Maundene Team
This week, we marked a truly incredible milestone at Maundene. On Tuesday, we held a special celebration assembly for Emma Walton, the Chair of our PTA, who is celebrating an amazing 10 years of dedication to our school community!
To show our immense gratitude, the Junior Leadership Team (JLT), school staff, and our Trust Deputy CEO all came together to celebrate the countless wonderful things Emma does for our children and our school. As a token of our appreciation, we presented Emma with a beautiful, custom-made card and some special gifts.
Ten years of volunteering is an extraordinary achievement. Emma’s hard work, energy, and unwavering support have helped shape Maundene into the vibrant community it is today.
Thank you, Emma, for everything you do!
At Maundene, we deeply value the strong partnership we have with our parents and carers, and we always want to work together to support our children. To maintain a safe and positive environment for everyone, we kindly remind all visitors that our staff must be spoken to with respect. Abusive or aggressive language will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring our school remains a safe, welcoming space for the entire community.
A quick reminder regarding our school uniform policy: for the safety of all pupils, particularly during playtimes and PE, please ensure that children do not wear hoop earrings. Only plain stud earrings are permitted. This is a necessary measure to prevent any avoidable injuries during school activities. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our pupils safe.
To ensure the safety and security of all our children at the end of the school day, we kindly ask that parents and carers stand back and keep the area around the classroom doors clear.
When large crowds gather too close to the exits, it makes it very difficult for teachers to see faces clearly and safely dismiss each child to their designated adult.
Additionally, if you need to speak to your child’s teacher at the end of the day, please wait until all children have been safely dismissed first. This allows teachers to give the dismissal process their full concentration, and ensures they can give you their undivided attention once all children are safe.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping our school community safe!
