Delce news from the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers

As we bid farewell to the autumn term, I want to express my gratitude for the incredible energy and enthusiasm that has filled our halls during the festive season. The Christmas spirit is truly alive, and it is heartening to witness our children actively participating in various joyful activities.

Our school has echoed with the laughter and excitement of the children engaged in festive crafts and preparations for the annual Christmas lunch—an event that showcased the spirit of togetherness and joy. The Christmas Caroloke Concerts were delightful, featuring our children and parents singing together with enthusiasm and sharing their festive cheer through song. A special thank you to all the parents who joined us for these events, adding to the warmth and memorable experiences shared by our school community.

The Craft Afternoon in the Delce Education Centre (DEC) was a creative success, offering our children a platform to express themselves through festive crafts.

Reflecting on the Autumn term, it's with great pride that we acknowledge the hard work of our children. Their exceptional writing has demonstrated not only creativity but also a deep understanding of language and storytelling. In science experiments, children have explored and experimented, sparking curiosity and a love for enquiry.

The culinary creativity in Jackson class has been a highlight, with children delving into cooking projects that not only honed their kitchen skills but also provided a delicious showcase of teamwork. Additionally, their artistic pursuits have been nothing short of inspiring, with children showcasing not only talent but also a keen sense of expression.

As we now embrace the holiday break, I extend my sincere thanks for your ongoing support. Your involvement has made a positive impact on the lives of our children.

Wishing each family a joyful and restful holiday season filled with warmth and cherished moments. We eagerly anticipate the return of our children on January 9th 2024, for another exciting chapter in Delce's journey to secure excellence.

Happy Holidays!

Miss Stevens

SEND

A message from our SENCO, Mr Palmer...

Mr. Palmer's Parent Drop Ins

Each week Mr. Palmer will be available 9am-10am every Friday in 15 minute slots to discuss any concerns.

If you would like one of the 15 Minute Slots to discuss something, please use the QR code below to access the booking system.

Mr Palmer's Top Tip this week!

Does your child become easily upset at Christmas?

Think about the sights, sounds and smells they may be experience. Often children with different needs become overhwelmed by one of the senses. Think about using ear defenders or other resources to help minimise this.

After Christmas Delce will be hosting a Triple P course. The dates are on the flyer. Numbers will be limited so please speak to the office if you would like a space and they will communicate this with Mr. Palmer.
