Delce news from the Headteacher
Dear Parents and Carers
It's been a delightful week filled with meaningful interactions. Our children showed the true joy of the season as they enjoyed the first snowfall. The excitement was palpable, and to capture these magical moments, we've shared some enchanting pictures on X.
I am eager to share the heartening feedback received during our recent Parents' Evening. I am thrilled to report that the response from the parents has been overwhelmingly positive. It warms my heart to hear your appreciation for the progress our school has made, and the collective sentiment regarding the positive trajectory is truly uplifting. Many of you have shared heartwarming stories about your child's growth, both academically and personally, and it's inspiring to witness the positive impact of our combined efforts.
In other exciting news, our Year 4 pupils embarked on a captivating journey to Kent Life, where they immersed themselves in the rich history of Britain during World War II. The joy and enthusiasm on their faces reflected the success of our commitment to providing engaging and educational experiences.
The children have also expressed their love for the recent Bounce Beyond workshops. Their enthusiasm and enjoyment during these energetic sessions added an extra layer of joy to our school days.
Furthermore, I am delighted to share that Year 5 and Year 6 have commenced their weekly assemblies. These gatherings serve as a dedicated platform to reinforce our Core Values, the fundamental British Values, and to address important topics like online safety.
As always, I would like to express my gratitude for your ongoing support and the invaluable role you play in our school community. Your partnership is instrumental in creating an environment where each child can thrive. Let's continue this journey of growth and success together.
Have a happy and safe weekend!
Miss Stevens

Inventors
This week, Inventors have explore the story from the preservative of the little blue fish and used persuasive language, to consider his feelings and tried to persuade our friends AKA Rainbow fish to share his scales.
Year 3
This week in Year 3, the children have been exploring features of a speech. We dove head first into a speech written by Greta Thuburg herself, exploring the importance of repetition.
Year 4
Year 4 had a fabulous trip to Kent Life where we experienced life during WWII. We made hand-made rugs from scraps of cloth, learnt all about food rations and recipes. Looked around a WWII house discussing all the differences between life then and now. Then we joined the home Guard learning how to march and stand to attention as a battalion.
Year 5
Excitement reverberated through the halls as our Year 5 children recently participated in a dynamic and energising Bounce Workshop. The workshop not only encouraged physical activity but also fostered teamwork and coordination skills. It was a fantastic opportunity for our children to break away from traditional classroom settings and embrace a fun-filled, active learning experience.
Year 6
This week, Year 6 were lucky to have an interview with Ms. Bansil. This relates to their current RE unit of Sikhism. The students collaborated to create insightful, open questions that they could ask someone about their beliefs and motivations in life. The children gained first-hand experiences and knowledge of the life of a Sikh, which will help them throughout the rest of their RE topic.
DEC
The DEC have taken part this week in a bounce workshop. The children have enjoyed learning an exercise routine on a mini trampoline.
Jackson class have enjoyed starting the first page of their recipe book especially the cooking.

A message from Mr Minlah...
What a week of marvels and discoveries! Our young explorers from Year 4 embarked on an enriching journey to Kent Life, where they delved into the pages of history, exploring what life was like in Great Britain during the Second World War. Their curiosity and enthusiasm illuminated the past, creating an unforgettable learning experience.
Meanwhile, the entire school echoed with the rhythmic beats of joy as all our students showcased their fantastic bouncing skills to music during the exhilarating Bounce Beyond event. Laughter and energy filled the air, making it a truly uplifting and memorable day for everyone involved.
Family and Community Information
Get ready to paint the school in a festive palette of red, green, and sparkle! We're inviting all our little elves to don their most dazzling and festive day wear on 8th December, as we gear up for a day filled with holiday cheer and merriment.
So, raid your closets for those radiant reds, glorious greens, and anything that sparkles and shines – because the more festive, the merrier! To wear the festive colours, we ask each child to bring a chocolate treat. These delights will be entered into the Christmas raffle, adding an exciting twist to the holiday season.
Indulge your taste buds and ignite your passion for cooking at our exciting Cook Up Workshops! Mrs. Morrish extends a warm invitation to all parents eager to showcase their culinary prowess and share the heartwarming stories behind their favorite recipes.
These workshops are not just about the art of cooking; they're also an excellent opportunity to have a chat, connect with fellow parents, and discuss any challenges around the festive period. Share your experiences, exchange tips, and build a support network as we navigate this joyous but sometimes hectic season together.

A message from our SENCO, Mr Palmer...
Mr. Palmer's Parent Drop Ins
Each week Mr. Palmer will be available 9am-10am every Friday in 15 minute slots to discuss any concerns.
If you would like one of the 15 Minute Slots to discuss something, please use the QR code below to access the booking system.
Mr Palmer's Top Tip this week!
Does your child struggle to understand the tasks you ask them to do? Be clear and specific about what you need them do.
For example instead of saying "Can you finish what you are doing?" say "Finish your dinner and then tidy the table".
This will help the child understand what needs to happen and give you the opportunity to praise them when they get it right!
Next Week!!!!!
