Delce news from the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers

As the term continues, I am thrilled to witness the fantastic learning experiences occurring across our school. From the ingenious train designs in our DT workshops to the captivating book reviews in Year 5, our children are demonstrating remarkable skills and knowledge. I am also impressed by the engaging drama activities unfolding in Wright - these creative endeavours are fostering valuable self-expression amongst the children.

I would also like to acknowledge the dedication of our Junior Leadership Team (JLT). Their hard work behind the scenes in planning and organising school events is truly commendable and contributes to building our strong school community.

Finally, Miss Stevens led discussions on the important topics of racist and discriminatory language and behaviour in our assemblies. Fostering an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued is a crucial responsibility that we all share in our community.

Looking ahead, we have a few exciting events on the horizon.  We are excited to celebrate Mother's Day next week, and in two weeks' time, we look forward to the Sharman Class Assembly. To ensure you don't miss any of the fun, please be sure to check the school calendar below for important dates and details.

Thank you for your continued partnership in creating this vibrant learning environment.

Miss Stevens

'At Delce We Do Belong'

Our Core Value this term: PERSEVERANCE

From Stumbles to Starlight

The path unfurls, a twisting track,

With peaks to climb and falls that crack.

A seed of doubt, a whispered "nay,"

But dreams still call, a brighter day.

So try we must, though shadows loom,

And failures sting, dispelling bloom.

But from each fall, a lesson learned,

A stronger will, a spirit burned.

Each try a thread, a web we weave,

Persisting, hoping, we believe.

For in the struggle, grit takes hold,

And what seemed weak, becomes bold.

The sun breaks through, dispels the night,

Revealing strength, a dazzling light.

For in the trying, we ascend,

And triumph's song, our journey's end.

So let us try, with hearts aflame,

For victories wait, whispered by name.

Though falls may come, and doubts may rise,

In trying's spirit, success lies.

To promote our core value of PERSEVERANCE, we would like to invite our Delce family to read a story together at home.

This week’s recommendation is: I choose to try again.

You can also sing along at home with our Perseverance song

SEND

A message from our SENCO, Mr Palmer...

Mr. Palmer's Parent Drop Ins

Each week Mr. Palmer will be available 9am-10am every Friday in 15 minute slots to discuss any concerns.

If you would like one of the 15 Minute Slots to discuss something, please use the QR code below to access the booking system.

Mr Palmer's Top Tip this week!

Does your child have spiraling thoughts that make them extremely anxious and unable to regulate their worries?

Use 3 3 3! Ask them to name 3 things they see, 3 things they hear and move 3 parts of their body. This will help "ground them" and bring them back to Earth.
