Watch this video featuring John Sproul from Rio Bosque Wetlands Park as he explains environmental stewardship and efforts to restore this historic riparian wetland.
Watch this video to see what an ecological footprint is. You will calculate your own ecological footprint then complete an activity by answering questions about your footprint.
*After completing your footprint on the website listed on the activity sheet, you do not have to submit your email. Simply select "skip to view my results" once you are done with the quiz.
Teachers are encouraged to lead a discussion with their students to compare ecological footprints and ways to reduce our environmental impact.
After completing this workshop you should have learned how your actions impact the environment, understand the concept of environmental stewardship and learned about environmental restoration.
More information about ecological footprints, including values from other countries, can be found at https://www.footprintnetwork.org/
