I'm an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the School of Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC). 

I´m in charge of a new Doctorate program, the Doctorate in Engineering and Science with the Industry, where PhD students work along the Industry to solve their most complex problems along with a faculty member and obtain a Phd degree.

Also I´m the Director of the GEPUC center for productivity improvement, where we carry out applied research and contribute to increasing productivity and competitiveness in organizations, connecting industry with academic activity.

I received my Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and my undergraduate degree is in Agronomy with an specialization in Agricultural Economics from the School of Agronomy and Forestry Science at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC). 

My research interests focus on the application of OR techniques to natural resource-based systems and healthcare with a focus on supply chain coordination, production planning, lean production, industry 4.0, scheduling, decision support systems and reliability.
