Update 2020, September 15th - In the light of the current trend in global health and safety regulations, it is not possible to celebrate Gabriele in a proper way at this time. Therefore, we have decided to postpone the meeting to 2021, when we will be celebrating not just Gabriele's career but also his first year of retirement. We are really sorry to miss this opportunity to meet you all - but please stay safe and we will make sure to have a proper event when the time is right!
Prof. Gabriele Giovannini will retire at the beginning of the Academic Year 2020/21. We take this opportunity to celebrate his accomplishments in research, teaching, and tutoring with many of his friends, collaborators, and former students. This meeting is planned to take place in Bologna in 2021, co-organised by the University of Bologna and INAF, and will feature talks with recollections of Prof. Giovannini's long activity as well as prospects for the future, in both fields where he spent most of his activity: galaxy clusters and active galactic nuclei.
