As stars age, their internal rotation changes in ways that are still not fully understood. ETAMAGIA studies how magnetic fields inside red giant stars slow down their rotation, helping scientists better understand how stars evolve over time and how we interpret observations of distant stars. This improved understanding is essential for building accurate models of stellar evolution, which underpin much of modern astrophysics, from studies of our Galaxy to the history of the Universe.
